- “Police Officer Bill of Rights”
- Prohibited defunding of police departments statewide.
- Set minimum thresholds for police funding for every county in Missouri to prevent liberal cities from going after cops by defunding them.
- Increased penalties to protect medical first responders—now a Class D misdemeanor to disrupt ambulance service by threatening to inflict injury on ambulance/EMT personnel.
- Created the “988 Public Safety Fund” to provide services to police officers suffering from PTSD, stress, and psychological trauma resulting from performing duties.
- Created the “Police Officer Bill of Rights” to protect officers from frivolous accusations and ensure officers enjoy due process during internal law enforcement investigations.
- Support of this bill beginning in 2018 directly led to Eigel's endorsement by the Missouri Fraternal Order of Police and the Missouri Police Officers Association for his re-election to the state senate in 2020. The bill was passed and signed into law in 2022-2023.
